With the 2018 release of the compilation EP Converge, Vol. 1, Rhyot launched Emercive Recordings as the infrastructure he wished existed for emerging artists. The label's second release, his own single "Army of the Dead", notably drew early support from deadmau5. The Converge series became Emercive's calling card as 2019's 19-track Converge, Vol. 3 hit #1 in seven Beatport genres, and cracked into the global top ten.

From 2021 thru 2024, Rhyot released more than an album's worth of music, including the collaborative Unbound EP with Barbosa, "CONSEQUENCES" with Phil Gonzo (via Moretin), and his own hard-hitting singles "NDA" and "Chrome Widow". Typically released through his own label, Emercive Recordings, Rhyot’s catalogue has topped charts, earned praise from industry savants, and comprises the core of his dynamic hybrid-live performances.

He started the project in late 2011 as a university student, staging DIY pop-up events with club-scale production in unconventional spaces: parties that routinely packed to capacity and drew the attention of local authorities. A little over a year later he was supporting a 3,500-capacity concert headlined by Grammy-nominated Morgan Page. Shows across New England and Florida and a first club residency followed, and that is where production began.

By 2015 he was based in Pittsburgh, producing music full-time and remixing on commission for major labels including Astralwerks, 3Beat, Motown, and Capitol (work for Dragonette, Empire of the Sun, and the Michelle Obama and Diane Warren "This Is For My Girls" project) while running a weekly electronic showcase at Mr. Smalls Theatre. He had an industry path laid out in front of him, and he walked away from it: back to his own project, his own records, his own label.

He started Emercive Recordings as the infrastructure he wished existed: an independent Canadian label for underground electronic music, run artist-first. He launched it with the 2018 compilation EP Converge, Vol. 1; the label's second release, his debut single "Army of the Dead", drew early support from deadmau5. Only months later, he moved permanently to Toronto and would later gain dual citizenship.

The Converge compilation series became the label's calling card: the 19-track Converge, Vol. 3, released in December 2019, hit #1 in seven Beatport genres and reached #9 on Beatport's global release chart. The imprint has released 26 artists from North America, Europe, Africa, and Australia since its launch.

In February 2020 came In Ruin EP, a three-track cinematic concept release that expanded the cinematic wing of his catalogue, written as an electronic score to an imaginary screenplay. The club wing answered that October, when his remix of Barbosa's "Juárez" topped Beatport's Indie Dance chart. The two kept building: 2021's collaborative EP Unbound, then Rhyot's single "Aphelion" included on the debut compilation from Barbosa's Heist Mode imprint. In total, Rhyot released more than an album's worth of music from then to 2024, including the hard-hitting solo singles "Mutually Assured", "NDA", "Chrome Widow", and Rhyot's Moretin label debut alongside Phil Gonzo, "CONSEQUENCES", which drew repeated comparison to the likes of Gesaffelstein, and cemented his place in the dark club sphere.

Those years saw the global return of live music events, and brought Rhyot's dynamic hybrid-live performances to the road. Notable shows include headlining the underground cyberpunk series FALLOUT in Los Angeles in 2022, playing direct support for SIERRA's A Story of Anger tour stop in Toronto in 2023, and leading off a 12-hour warehouse event in Phoenix in 2024 alongside the Heist Mode and Split Checks collectives.

Rhyot turned up pace and attitude in 2025 with three Emercive releases: the two-track Interstition/Existentialism, the dark electro single "ATHE," and his aggressive four-track sophomore CULTURE EP, framed as a protest against the zero-risk commercialization of modern club music. Early 2026 saw the release of his indie dance single "LUNACY" originally co-written with friend and Emercive label artist, LUNR, distilling five years of development into one slow-burning, analogue-driven record.

For Rhyot, new material is perpetually in development, including new original singles, hard-hitting collaborations, and the ideation of an ambitious conceptual debut album. Trailblazing his unique vision takes patience.

Emercive Recordings is an independent Canadian imprint that has emerged as a prominent force in the electronic music scene since its launch in March 2018 under the direction of Rhyot, an underground artist known for his dark and cinematic tastes.
